Do you know that? 50% of buyers buy the wrong things? that is they bought what they don’t really need. Because everyone is buyer, whether you buy in cash or credit you need to know the basic things about buying.
In this post I will share 3 basic principles about buying that you will never be stock about buying the right things.
Now think about the last 3 purchase you made take a good look at them how did you feel at the first day of purchasing that item (very excited) what about a week after (not too excited) and I in the next 1 month you may not want to use that item again. This is one of the problems most buyers have and this has caused them their financial freedom.
You will be a financial slave if you refuse to learn these basic principles about buying. Studying and mastering just one of these principles can turn your financial freedom dream into reality. Learn more about buying in this post 6 amazing things about buying and financial freedom.
so what are these principles about buying that will make you excited before buying, after you buy and keep you excited about what you have bought for a long time.
The 1st thing to know about buying is

                                               WHAT TO BUY
Anyone who goes to a market place, a shop or checks the internet without knowing what to buy will face this common problem where people buy the wrong things and this will not help you become financially free. In knowing what to buy you most consider these factors.

     Specific Need
Having a specific need go a long way in helping you know what you want to buy. This will reduce the chance of you buying on impulse learn more about impulse buying.
Once you know what you want that is your specific need the next thing you must ask yourself is

Does it sit at the top of my priority list?
Most people who buy on impulse always miss this stage of buying. What should be at the top of you priority list should be you want not your need. Yes! What you want should be at the top. If you have 5000 and your rent is due for payment but you also need a house of your own. Now what is your need and what do you want? You need a house for your own but what you need at the moment is a roof over your head since your 5000 can not afford to buy a house. Your rent in this case should be your want and should be at the top of your priority list.
You have learned that you need to have a specific need and it should be at the top of your priority list very good the next thing to know ask is
How will it be of benefit?
Often times I see people who spend a lot of money buying things they already have. Let me explain this a little. You must know that most of these companies bringing out new products everyday with little or no upgrade are only doing that to you because you do not know how it will benefit you. If you have a phone that does everything you want, why a buy that new one you just saw on the internet or on T.V simply because of one little upgrade that is almost as similar as the one you already have. If you fall in these categories then you are among the 50% who buy the wrong things and now you know it is best you stop buying things that does not benefit you or you will never be financially free.
Lastly on what to buy is very important we know this, it’s as important as the others like I said earlier if you can master one of them, it can make you financially free…
Resource to buy it(cost of the item)
Some people will say this should be the first but I have chosen to put this at the last because if you have not studied the others you cannot know how to manage the cost of an item.
Have you ever made a purchase and after a few days you wish you could return the goods and collect back the money you paid? This happen to most buyers not because they didn’t have a specific need or what they want did not sit at the top of their priority list, it may even be of a high benefit to them but they didn’t have the money to make the purchase instead they but on credit which is the first step to financial slavery.
In this post, I talked about using credit card or buying on credit. But it is very good to buy in cash. That is what people who are financially free do when it comes to buying.
You have to save to buy what you want, buying on credit makes you get frustrated about what you buy and this makes you buy more. Since you buy on credit you get into more debt and this is surely not going to make you financially free.
One key thing to cost of item when buying is that if you take that extra time to do a little research about what you want to buy, you could get the item on a better price and with good quality.
Before you make the next purchase make sure you have a specific need, and that need sit on top of your priority list and it will be of benefit and above all you have the resource to make the purchase.
